Highway 1 west of Chilliwack backed up w/b for 5+ kms Thursday afternoon

CHILLIWACK — Backups on Highway 1 westbound between Chilliwack and Abbotsford are causing more traffic headaches for motorists due to an undisclosed vehicle incident for the Thursday afternoon commute.
DriveBC and Emil Anderson Maintenance both say a vehicle incident is affecting the westbound lanes near No. 3 Road (exit 104). Motorists are advised to expect heavy delays.
Motorists are being asked to slow down and watch for crews on scene.
An image shared by Drive BC shows RCMP and some kind of first responder on scene.
The westbound left lane is blocked as of 4:13 p.m. Thursday.
Google Maps shows dark red traffic backed up westbound from Cole Road (exit 99 e/b) all the way past No. 3 Road (exit 104) to nearly 3/4 of the way to the next exit, Yale Road West (exit 109).
Weather doesn’t appear to be a factor in the vehicle incident as roads are dry and there is no precipitation that has fallen today.
