Chilliwack School District to host parent information night outlining career education options for students
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack School District will host two informational sessions for parents later this month outlining what career education options there are for students.
The events are set for Tuesday, January 21 at Chilliwack Secondary School and Thursday, January 23 at Sardis Secondary. Both events go from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The 30-minute informational presentation will cover work experience, youth work in trades, youth training in trades, trades exploration and dual-credit programs, followed by a Q&A and an open house. The presentation will be provided by SD33’s career education staff.
The events are open to parents and guardians of students in grades 9-11, though your students don’t have to attend Sardis Secondary or Chilliwck Secondary in order to attend. SD33 says parents from all catchment areas are invited to learn about what Chilliwack School District has to offer concerning career education options.
By attending either of these events, parents and students will learn about program options and how to access them for enhanced educational experience and course credits.
