Chilliwack Fair to host double-platinum selling country music star this summer

CHILLIWACK — A double-platinum selling country music artist will light up the stage at this summer’s 153rd annual Chilliwack Fair.

In a news release Sunday, the Chilliwack & District Agricultural Society says it will proudly welcome Canadian-American country music icon Aaron Goodvin on Friday, August 8 at 9 p.m. This year’s performance, like previous iterations, happens after the rodeo and is included with gate admission.

Goodvin made a splash into the country music scene with his debut album, “Aaron Goodvin,” which generated critical and commercial acclaim and positioned him as a rising star in the industry. His infectious energy and undeniable talent quickly caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike, earning him a prestigious Juno Awards Album of the Year nomination for his sophomore album, “V,” and award wins including CCMA Songwriter of the Year. With two #1’s and six Top 10’s, including the double-platinum international hit “Lonely Drum,” Goodvin has demonstrated that he has what it takes to make a lasting impression in the world of country music.
