Eight charges laid in the shooting death of a man from Langley, B.C., police say

LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Eight charges, including second-degree murder, have been laid in connection to the death of a man in Langley, B.C.
Police say they were called to a home on Aug. 2 last year to a report of shots fired and subsequently two injured men were found in hospital.
Police say 41-year-old Dillan Unger died of his injuries, while the second man was released from hospital.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says in a new release issued Friday that the prosecution service has approved charges against Stephen Johnson.
In addition to the murder charge in Unger’s death, he’s accused of four counts of attempted murder, and one count each of aggravated assault, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Police say Unger and Johnson were known to each other, and the accused remains in custody.
