Annual Abbotsford Airshow takes off for 63rd year this weekend

ABBOTSFORD — The largest aerospace showcase in Canada is back for its 63rd year with a weekend of jet noise and aviation marvels at the Abbotsford International Airshow.
Visitors can catch headliners like the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Team, as well as get hands-on with interactive flight simulators in the S.T.E.M. Zone.
“Whether you’re here to marvel at aerial acrobatics, explore aviation history, or simply to spend a beautiful day at the Airport with family and friends, we hope you leave inspired,” said Dave Reith, executive director of the Abbotsford International Airshow Society.
This year, the airshow is also featuring the world’s fully electric commercial aircraft– the Harbour Air eBeaver.
Gates are set to open at 2:30 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 8), then 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 9-10). Tickets and more details are available online through the event’s website.
