Crews try to wrangle bull on the loose on Highway 11 in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — A section of Highway 11 has now been blocked off as emergency services try to rein in a bull away from the road.

At 12:31 p.m., DriveBC told drivers to expect delays near Hazelwood Avenue due to the incident.

As of 1 p.m., Abbotsford police were on scene to block off Highway 11 in both directions from McCallum Road to Bateman Road.

“Please avoid the area to allow emergency vehicle access,” said AbbyPD. “We’re currently working with the farmer to resolve the situation.”

Images and videos from the scene show a bull trotting down the middle of the road and stopping to avoid vehicles.
