Chilliwack pet society to hold holiday-themed events to continue supporting roughly 500 pets/month

CHILLIWACK — A Chilliwack-based pet society says it is holding a number of holiday-themed fundraising events aimed at supporting pet owners and the well-being of roughly 500 pets they serve each month in Chilliwack.
Julie Chadwick from Zoey’s Pawsome Pets Society, made up of local volunteers who love their dogs and cats and want to help others, says the non-profit will hold a fundraising dinner, “The Dinner for Critters,” on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bozzini’s Restaurant, 45739 Hocking Avenue, in Chilliwack. Tickets are $30 each; the event is capped at 30 tickets. Attendees can feast from a choice of entrees such as an 8-oz. sirloin steak, chicken cordon bleu, BBQ ribs or tiger prawns, accompanied by a selection of enticing sides. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in prize draws, trivia games, receive gift bags, and bid on silent auction items.
There’s also a neat fundraiser involving the “Santa Paws Tree” initiative, which goes from November 15 to December 10 at Bosley’s at #7-45955 Yale Road, near Southgate and Starbucks. Help spread Christmas cheer by selecting an ornament from the Santa Paws Tree featuring a pet’s name and wishlist. This initiative aims to provide essential support to pets in need during the holiday season.

Lastly, Zoey’s will hold a Christmas bake sale on Saturday, December 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bosley’s (7-45955 Yale Road). There will be a delightful array of baked goods as a way of contributing to a worthy cause. All proceeds from the bake sale will benefit pets supported right here in Chilliwack by Zoey’s.
“Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets in our community,” Julie Chadwick told Fraser Valley Today. “The proceeds from these events will go directly toward our Pet Hamper initiative, The Dinner for Critters and the Christmas Bake Sale, which would provide essential pet supplies to seniors and low-income clients. Your involvement helps us ensure that pets in our community continue to receive the care and love they deserve. Thank you for helping us make a positive difference!”
