Motorists stuck in 5-km backup e/b on Hwy. 1 in Abbotsford Monday morning

ABBOTSFORD — There’s a roughly five-kilometre backup on eastbound Highway 1 through Abbotsford Monday morning.
According to two DriveBC cameras at both Clearbrook Road (exit 87) and Sumas Way (exit 92), traffic is heavily backed up for eastbound commuters.

However, traffic is not backed up for eastbound motorists at Cole Road (exit 99) in Abbotsford (below).
Image: DriveBC / Cole Road looking eastbound in Abbotsford.As most people know, Highway 1 is open eastbound. The City of Abbotsford anticipates that Highway 1 will be fully reopened to both lanes later today.
“We are also pleased that Highway 1 is expected to fully reopen for eastbound traffic today,” the City of Abbotsford said in a statement issued Monday morning at 10 a.m.
