1 charged with assault after stabbing in Abbotsford Saturday

ABBOTSFORD — A man has now been charged in relation to a recent stabbing in Abbotsford.

Abbotsford police responded to a report of the incident near the intersection of Townline Road and Maclure Road on Saturday morning (Aug. 9).

A business owner received life-threatening injuries after an altercation with the suspect, who was trying to steal from the shop.

AbbyPD quickly found the individual in the backyard of a nearby home and arrested him.

On August 10, 40-year-old Timothy Rowley was formally charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

He remains in custody while the victim is currently in stable condition.

The investigation is still ongoing.
