Surrey police looking for man in alleged sexual assault

SURREY — Police in Surrey are asking for witnesses to come forward after a woman alleges she was sexually assaulted by a man early Tuesday morning on King George Boulevard.
According to a statement from Sergeant Tige Pollock, media relations officer for the Surrey Police Service, a female victim says she was heading on food toward a bus stop Tuesday morning, August 26 at approximately 3:10 a.m. During the time that she was walking along the sidewalk, she was approached by a man who asked to use her phone. When she victim refused, the suspect pushed her into a nearby bush and then allegedly sexually assaulted her. The victim, who suffered minor injuries, fought off the suspect while he fled northbound.
SPS’s Special Investigation Section (SIS) has been contacted and taken control of the investigation.
The suspect is described as tall. skinny South Asian male with black hair and wearing a black t-shirt, maroon shorts, and black and white shoes.
Investigators are releasing three images of the suspect in hopes that he may be identified.
The first image shows the man’s bearded face.

The second picture reveals a side profile of the suspect.

A third image from picture shows the back of his head as he leaves the scene of the alleged crime.
