Abbotsford police arrest 1, recover stolen property in South Clearbrook

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department has now secured a number of items suspected to be stolen from parked vehicles in the South Clearbrook neighbourhood today (Oct. 4).
Frontline officers from Patrol Shift 1 responded to a report of a break-and-enter on Lyden Street during the early morning hours.
The investigation led to a known repeat property crime offender in the area, and the individual was briefly detained. Officers later found and recovered a “significant quantity” of items believed to be stolen from parked vehicles overnight, according to a social media post by AbbyPD.
Drivers who have parked in the South Clearbrook area between South Fraser Way (North) and Marshall Road (South), and from Clearbrook Road (West) to Emerson Street (East), may have found their vehicle rummaged through.
