ABBOTSFORD — Two people have been arrested after police in Abbotsford found cash and illicit drugs from a stolen truck Thursday morning.
Just after 6 a.m., an officer with the Police Dog Service in the Lower Mainland ran a licence plate check after noticing a “suspicious” truck in the 39400 block of Number 3 Road.
The plate did not match the vehicle.
Abbotsford Police Department patrol officers then responded to the area to assist and pulled over the red Ford pick-up truck.

“A high-risk arrest was conducted, and two occupants were taken into custody without incident,” said AbbyPD.
A vehicle search revealed more than 300 grams of suspected cocaine and fentanyl, along with $3,200 in cash.
The truck was confirmed stolen from Edmonton, Alberta, and the criminal investigation remains ongoing.
