Chilliwack fire crews battle brush fire off Young Road Saturday morning (VIDEO)

CHILLIWACK – Chilliwack firefighters were called to a small blaze off Young Road in the brush behind Wings Restaurant Saturday morning.
Scanner traffic indicates fire crews from at least two engines were called to the brush fire near the 8200 block of Young Road.

At one point, fire crews requested additional manpower.
An RCMP member attended the scene. It’s not clear if any ambulances were dispatched.
Fire crews continue to battle the small brush fire as of noon Saturday.
In other fire activity this morning, Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department crews are responding midday to some type of smoke or possible fire behind On the Way Store on Chilliwack Lake Road.
