UPDATE, 9:07 A.M. TUESDAY: Power has now been restored to over 270 customers in Chilliwack following this morning’s outage.

CHILLIWACK – Over 270 residential customers have lost power Tuesday morning in an area about 1 km east of downtown Chilliwack.
BC Hydro’s online dashboard indicates 274 customers lost power at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday (July 14).
The affected areas are east of Woodbine Street, west of Coote Street, north of First Avenue and south of Yale Road.
The cause is under investigation.
No crews have been assigned as of 8:07 a.m.
Weather is not a factor as there are sunny skies and little to no wind in Chilliwack this morning.
