55-year-old woman located deceased in Maple Ridge: RCMP

MAPLE RIDGE – Police in Maple Ridge say they’re investigating the death of a 55-year-old woman who was found deceased outside a home on 207 Street Monday morning.

Maple Ridge RCMP members were called to the 11800 block of 207 Street Monday morning (July 20) at approximately 7:30 a.m. after getting a report that a person was found deceased.

Police say officers have conducted a number of investigative steps and are working closely with the BC Coroners Service and other support units to confirm further details.

The deceased is believed to be a 55-year-old female of no fixed address.

The cause of death is unknown at this time, however, police say they continue to investigate in order to rule out any possible criminality in this matter.

Police say there is no risk to the public.

No further information will be released at this time, Maple Ridge RCMP wrote in a statement.
