Playground upgrades wrap up at Fairfield Park, including Chilliwack’s first in-ground trampoline

CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack is inviting residents to bounce on its first-ever in-ground trampoline at Fairfield Park.
The trampoline has been embedded into the park playground’s new rubberized surface – a space that used to consist of wood chips.
The City says it provides a safer, more durable, and more accessible experience for all park users.

“We’re grateful to both the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club and to Kal-Tire for their support of this project,” said Mayor Ken Popove. “Improving playgrounds within our parks helps to meet the needs of our growing community and provides a more accessible space for all residents.”
Mt. Cheam Rotary Club contributed $110,000 to the City for upgrades at Fairfield and another local park in 2027, with Kal-Tire supplying $10,000 through its grant program for public infrastructure using recycled rubber products.
Fairfield Park’s new rubber surfacing is part of the City’s Accessibility and Greenspace Plans. The Park is located at 46219 Clare Avenue.
