Small landslide comes down from Bridal Veil Falls Saturday

CHILLIWACK — Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park had been closed for a time after a small landslide Saturday afternoon (Aug. 1).

Scanner traffic reported the incident at around 4:45 p.m. Popkum Fire Rescue responded, with two ambulances, RCMP and Kent Harrison Search and Rescue paged out to the scene.

BCEHS says paramedics cared for eight patients with minor injuries.

A witness told Fraser Valley Today that trees and rocks came down from the waterfalls, and that medical staff were checking at least four people.

Video taken after the park was closed shows some mud sitting by the top of the falls.

We have reached out to RCMP for more information.

There are no known closures at the park as of Sunday morning.
