Impaired motorist arrested after vehicle strikes several parked cars, rolls over: Chilliwack RCMP

CHILLIWACK – Chilliwack RCMP officers were called to the Eagle Landing commercial shopping centre in Chilliwack last week after a motorist struck several vehicles and was arrested for impaired driving.

According to a recap from Chiliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener for the week of Monday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 18, police say a reported erratic driver on Eagle Landing Parkway allegedly struck a stopped vehicle, collided with three additional parked vehicles, and rolled their own vehicle.

The incident happened Friday evening, Oct. 16.

Cpl. Kiener says the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to hospital for treatment.

A commenter in a Chilliwack-area Facebook group seemed to corroborate what police said about the incident: “Drunk driver took out 4 parked vehicles in a zig zag pattern plus put her own car on its side. Cuffed and stuffed.”

The investigation remains active and ongoing, Cpl. Kiener said.
