Boston Bar break-in investigation leads to two arrests

BOSTON BAR — Boston Bar RCMP have arrested two suspects and recovered stolen property following a reported break and enter at a property along the Trans-Canada Highway.

Police responded to the incident and located several individuals near the scene. With assistance from Police Dog Services, officers tracked and arrested two suspects found on the property who could not explain their presence.

During the investigation, police seized a vehicle, trailer and all-terrain vehicle associated with the suspects.

Investigators later determined the ATV had been stolen approximately eight years earlier, while the truck had been reported stolen from Chilliwack two weeks before.

The suspects are expected to appear in court at a later date. Charges are pending, subject to review and approval by the BC Prosecution Service.

The incident was included in Hope RCMP’s biweekly snapshot for October 12 to 25, when officers responded to 262 calls for service, including 36 property crimes and eight crimes against persons.
