LANGLEY – Mounties in Langley are reminding the public not to drive drunk or impaired following a motor vehicle crash Friday night that resulted in a 90-day driving ban for the driver.
According to a social media post from the Langley RCMP detachment, a motorist who allegedly left a bar thought they could make it home behind the wheel while intoxicated.
“Spoiler alert: they didn’t,” Langley RCMP said. “Out for Halloween last night? Don’t make the same mistake as this driver.”
Police provided a picture of a vehicle that rolled over into the ditch. Two people are seen not far from the crash, and an RCMP SUV is stationed nearby. An orange safety cone was positioned in the middle of the road.
Police say no one was hurt in the rollover, but the motorist registered a failed ASD (approved screening device) test, a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition, and a 30-day vehicle impound.
“A cab would have been a whole lot cheaper,” Langley RCMP said. “Don’t let one bad decision turn your Halloween into a nightmare. Plan ahead. Make the right choice.”
