Hope RCMP officer helps deliver puppies

First responders never know where their day will take them.

However, one call recently for a Hope RCMP new recruit was a getaway from the everyday.

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP posted the story on their Facebook page saying sometimes, police work takes them to the most unexpected places.

While following up on a call, the Hope detachment’s newest officer stepped in to help deliver three Shepherd-cross puppies.

They say that’s not a scenario that gets much attention during RCMP training but for the officer, it was a memorable reminder that policing is about supporting the community, whatever the situation.

In the post, Mounties say the mother dog and her pups are doing well.
