CHILLIWACK — Gas prices have spiked over 20 cents a litre in less than 24 hours in Chilliwack.
Regular unleaded prices previously hovered at around $1.569 per litre before a steep hike of about 25 cents began appearing throughout Chilliwack.
A Fraser Valley Today reporter travelled along the Vedder Road corridor Tuesday morning in Sardis and witnessed prices now starting at $1.819 for a litre of regular unleaded gas (87 octane) at places like Chevron and Shell. The same price is also posted at the Esso gas station on Luckakuck Way.

As of 8:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, it remains $1.559.
