Electric scooter rider in Hope transported to hospital after collision with car: RCMP

HOPE – A youth riding an electric scooter was transported to hospital after a collision with a vehicle Tuesday morning (May 19) in Hope.
According to a statement from Upper Fraser Valley RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, Hope RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and an electric scooter at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday on Beacon Road.
Cpl. Kiener says the person on the scooter was taken to the hospital with injuries. The investigation is continuing to determine what led to the collision.
No further information was released by police.
The school where the youth is enrolled has reached out to the family to offer any support that it can.
