UPDATE: Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener has confirmed to Fraser Valley Today that police responded to a report of a motor vehicle incident where a young child was injured on a property on McSween Drive Saturday.
“The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries,” Cpl. Kiener told Fraser Valley Today in an email. “Alcohol is not a factor and police continue to investigate. This is an understandably traumatic experience for the family and we won’t be sharing any further information.”

CHILLIWACK – Multiple Chilliwack first responders were dispatched after getting reports of a motor vehicle incident on McSween Road in Chilliwack Saturday afternoon (May 23).
The PulsePoint app indicates first responders were notified about the incident at approximately 3:43 p.m.
People on Facebook have reported seeing at least two fire trucks, three RCMP vehicles, a paramedic supervisor and two ambulances heading toward the scene.
There are unconfirmed reports the incident involved a young child, according to scanner traffic.

A helicopter identified as 280A4 (air ambulance) landed sometime at around 4:35 p.m.

“BCEHS received a call at 3:44 p.m. today for a motor vehicle incident in the 11000 block of McSween Road in Chilliwack and responded with three ground ambulances and one air ambulance. Paramedics cared for and transported one patient to hospital in critical condition,” BC EHS spokesperson Peter Darbyshire told Fraser Valley Today in an email.
