NORTH BEND — BC Wildfire Service crews continue to battle an out-of-control wildfire that sparked near Boston Bar Thursday (July 2).
In an update this morning, BCWS says two initial attack crews, a unit crew and two more response officers have joined the Boston Bar Fire Department in tackling the now six-hectare blaze near Chaumox Road, roughly two kilometres north of North Bend.
One helicopter is also supporting the response, but weather and terrain may limit aviation support throughout the day.
Nearby residents say the fire appears to be growing.
It is suspected to be human-caused.
