Update: Power restored to over 4,000+ in Abbotsford Monday morning

UPDATE, 8:30 A.M. MONDAY: Power has now been restored to thousands of residential customers in central Abbotsford who saw their electricity go out earlier this morning.
There’s one lingering outage in the Mission area Monday morning that has left 308 customers there without power. Crews are expected to arrive by 9 a.m. They lost power at 6:22 a.m. this morning

ABBOTSFORD – Thousands of residential customers in Abbotsford have lost power Monday morning.
According to BC Hydro’s online dashboard, 3,830 customers lost power in central Abbotsford in an area west of Maclure Road, south of Verdon Way and north of Lilac Crescent.
The power went out at 6:11 a.m.
Crews are on their way and are expected to arrive by 7:50 a.m.
The cause is under investigation.
There’s a second outage within the same area of central Abbotsford affecting 230 customers. They lost power at 6:16 a.m. and that outage cause is under investigation.
Altogether, 4,060 customers lost power in Abbotsford Monday morning (July 6).
