Impaired driving suspected in multi-vehicle crash that closed n/b Hwy. 11 in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford closed northbound Highway 11 Tuesday evening following a multi-vehicle crash in which driver impairment is suspected.

Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says the highway was closed between Clayburn Road and Harris Road due to a traffic incident involving several vehicles.

First responders attended the scene to conduct their investigation and assess injuries connected to the crash.

One person has been arrested as police conduct an impaired driving investigation.

The Pulse Point app indicated at least five ambulances were notified about the incident, which occurred at approximately 5:21 p.m.

Motorists who needed to access the Mission Bridge northbound were able to do so via Harris Road.
