CP NewsAlert: Canadian creator of ‘The Pitt’ earns Emmy nod

Canada’s R. Scott Gemmill has earned an Emmy nomination for best drama series as creator of “The Pitt.”

The HBO Max medical drama chronicles the grueling shifts faced by health-care workers in a fictional Pittsburgh hospital emergency room.

Toronto’s Brittany Allen is also up for an Emmy for best guest actress in a drama series for her role on the show.
