Man charged with 2nd degree murder after vehicle incident in Vanderhoof, B.C.

VANDERHOOF — Mounties in Vanderhoof, B.C., say a man is facing a murder charge after a vehicle incident left another man dead.

RCMP say they responded to the incident at around 1 p.m. Thursday in the 1500-block of Loop Road.

Officers found one man dead and arrested a suspect soon after.

Police say they charged a 39-year-old Vanderhoof man with second degree murder on Friday after completing an investigation.

They say the victim was a 38-year-old man who knew the accused.

Police say they are still looking to speak with anyone who might have dashcam or surveillance video of what happened.
