Update: Amber Alert cancelled for 4-year-old boy, who has been located

UPDATE, 12:15 P.M. WEDNESDAY: Police have now cancelled the Amber Alert that was issued overnight for an abducted 4-year-old boy from West Kelowna. Police say the boy and his mother were safely located.

WEST KELOWNA – Police in West Kelowna issued an Amber Alert overnight after getting a report that a 4-year-old boy was abducted by a parent.

Many residents across B.C. reported getting an Amber Alert on their cell phones just after midnight as police activated a province-wide alert for the young boy.

On Tuesday, July 21, RCMP say they received a report of a parental abduction. As a result of their investigation, West Kelowna RCMP issued a province-wide Amber Alert in an attempt to locate 4-year-old Atlas Andrews, who has been reported missing from West Kelowna.

Ryan Atlas Andrews (Atlas) is described as Caucasian, four years old, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is approximately 91 cm (3 feet, 0 inches) tall and 23 kg (51 pounds).

Police are also searching for 40-year-old Alisse Andrews, who has brown hair and brown eyes, is Caucasian, and is described as 5’4″ tall and 121 pounds.

Police are searching for a black 2021 Nissan Qashqai believed to be associated to the suspect. The vehicle has a B.C. license plate of RV003L.

Anyone who may have seen Atlas Andrews, Alisse Andrews or Alisse Andrews’s vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately. Police say further updates will be provided when new information is available.
