1 airlifted to hospital after falling out of Chilliwack apartment

CHILLIWACK — One person is in stable condition after reportedly falling out of an apartment balcony Thursday evening (July 23).

At around 7:29 p.m., BCEHS says an ambulance with primary care paramedics and an ambulance with advanced care paramedics were paged out to the 46000 block of Thomas Road for a “medical incident”.

First responders then gave emergency treatment to one patient, who was airlifted to hospital in serious but stable condition.

The air ambulance landed on the field by G.W. Graham Secondary School.

Nearby residents reported that a man had fallen from the third floor of an apartment building and appeared to have been bleeding from his head.

RCMP say it was a person in distress and that there is no risk to the public.

An anonymous tip to Fraser Valley Today reported that the patient is expected to make a full recovery.
