Overnight traffic pattern changes on Highway 1 and 11 starting Monday

ABBOTSFORD — Work to expand the Fraser Valley corridor in Abbotsford continues with new overnight traffic diversions over the next couple of weeks.
On Monday, July 27, crews will be on-site eastbound at Highway 11 to prepare for demolition as part of the Highway 11 interchange project.
The eastbound Highway 1 off-ramp to 11 will be closed every night until Thursday, July 30, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The on-ramp to Highway 1 will remain open, along with a detour.
Westbound, the on-ramp to Highway 1 will be closed nightly for a week from Tuesday, August 4 until August 11, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The off-ramp to Highway 11 will stay open with a detour.
Lastly, from August 4 to 11, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., Highway 11 under Highway 1 will be down to one lane in each direction. This, as well as the westbound on-ramp work, will be closed from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h throughout the project.
Livingstone Avenue from east of Mall Access Road to west of Gardner Park is also set to be closed for repaving work this weekend, in addition to the ongoing single-lane alternating traffic in the area. The closure takes effect today and continues through Monday, July 27.
Drivers are asked to slow down, be mindful of traffic delays and watch for signs and road crews.
