HOPE — Mounties are inviting residents to learn more about the Hope detachment at their inaugural annual Open House.
Participants can expect to meet local RCMP officers, tour the cell block and hear about the specialized units and emergency services supporting the Hope community.
“We are excited to welcome the community into our detachment and provide an opportunity for the public to connect with their local RCMP and public safety partners,” said Staff Sergeant Mike Sargent, detachment commander of the Hope RCMP.
There will also be a free community barbecue with donations supporting Cops for Cancer.
Registration is not required. The event is set to be held from noon to 4 p.m. on August 15 at the Hope RCMP detachment, located at 690 Old Hope Princeton Way.
